Reading the numbers

Across the 33 model years of the Jeep Grand Cherokee in this data, 2000 sits 6th by complaint volume. 2014 draws the most.

Filings have fallen off, 11 in the last three years against 29 in the three before. That is normal as a generation leaves the road.

The median odometer reading at the time of complaint was 85,000 miles.

In owners' own words

I have had the rotors resurfaced twice, and the rotors and calipers replaced once in 19000 miles. No that the warranty has run out, the dealer is very nasty about correcting the problem. If you ask me, any problems with brakes, steering, or fuel leaks are bound to end in casualties, if they haven't already. Now wonder american car companies have to offer 0% apr, it's the only way you can sale a lemon. *Nlm Service brakes, hydraulic · reported at 8,000 miles
Brake rotors on all 4 wheels prematurely warp causing heavy shimmy and lurching during braking. Original brake pads and rotors were replaced by dealer at 12,000 miles. Now replacement rotors are doing the exact same thing, but worse. Vehicle is now out of warranty. Vehicle has been driven primarily on interstate highways. Additionally I had the exact same problems with my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Service brakes, hydraulic
I own a 2000 Grand Cherokee limited . This is the 3rd time in three years I have had to have the vehicle in for brake problems. The car shakes violently when stopping forom hig h speeds this can be very dangerous to all drivers. The dealer says it is bad rotors and Jeep is aware of the problems and refuses to correct it. I know ia am not the only one sinc I have seen many complaints about this issue. Service brakes, hydraulic
