The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that while refueling the vehicle, fuel would spew from the filler neck after the automatic shut off engaged. The vehicle was not inspected by a dealer or mechanic nor was the vehicle repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and advised him to take the vehicle to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was told that the check valve in the tank was broken and causing fuel to spill. The vin was not available. The fuel tank filler tube inlet check valve does not fully close at the end of refueling. It allows some fuel to escape from the vehicle filler neck. Now the gas cap light message stays on and the check engine light came on and stays on. This was a recall for the 2005 Durango mine is a 2007 is this recall still active for my vehicle?
