I purchased a 2026 Chevrolet 1500 Duramax Deisel truck. At 9500 miles the truck started making popping and loud grinding noises and would shake while driving it. I barely made it to the dealership on August 6th 2026 I took it to Group 1 Chevrolet where I bought it in Houston,Texas and on August 8th was told that they need to replace the engine and do not have an estimated time for repair. The first time I was driving in traffic and the truck shut completely off with no warning the display on the dash indicated,please put in park and restart, Took a straight to the dealership the code said it was a malfunction with a fuel pump. I had it for two weeks. September 27 it happened again. Took it back to the dealership and theyâve had it ever since. Engine
Engine derated when towing travel trailer putting us in an unsafe situation during heavy traffic. No warning other than display on dash reading âreduced acceleration - drive with careâ. Took immediately to dealer and they confirmed âthrust bearing failureâ manufacturer defect and showed us Field Service Bulletin 25-NA-307 dated 9/30/25. Engine
