In owners' own words

I was driving down the road when the vehicle shut off and required a restart. After I was able to safely pull to the side of the road with zero power I was able to restart the vehicle after a few tries. The check engine light came on. Upon getting the code checked the CAM sensor is what shut the vehicle off. I was on a busy access road and a crash could have happened if I was not able to move out of the travel lanes. Engine
GM replaced engine after a complete failure associated with a defective engine recall. The remanufactured or new engine installed seems to have a similar defect as the original engine. Returned vehicle for service and was told GM refused to repair or replace the engine until the vehicle suffered another complete engine failure. Regardless of any safety concerns of an another complete engine failure. Engine
The truck suddenly and completely shut down while I was driving on the highway, with no warning signs before the total power loss. This unexpected failure put me in a dangerous situation. The vehicle had to be towed to the dealership where it was purchased, and after inspection, the dealer informed me that the engine had completely failed and now requires a full replacement. Engine
