Reading the numbers
Across the 29 model years of the Toyota Tacoma in this data, 2020 draws comparatively few complaints; 2006 is the outlier year.
Filings have fallen off, 41 in the last three years against 54 in the three before. The issues here may already have been addressed.
The median odometer reading at the time of complaint was 5,200 miles.
In owners' own words
Was driving to the store, and it started cutting out jumping and jerking with tremendous loss of power barely made it home had to push it in my DRV way and still no start it says my truck is not in the recall for faulty fuel pump warning check engine lights came on and says malfunction in the throttle body censer and automatic transmission sender Fuel/propulsion system
The truck suddenly stopped Took it to a mechanic and had to replace the fuel pump. AAA tow company along with the mechanic that fixed the issue said that it is odd a truck so new with fuel pump issues I have the bad fuel pump and invoices. The truck stopped working at 55,247mi on the odometer Fuel/propulsion system
It's defiantly a fuel pump issue cause when check to see if fuel pump comes on it don't I was driving about 30 mph it started jumping and jerking like if it was out of fuel I barely made it home it has been two to three weeks now with no response back from Toyota dealer Fuel/propulsion system
