In owners' own words

The transmission in my 2017 Ford Focus is slipping, shuttering, and jerking. It also will hesitate when accelerating. It has been to the Ford Maintenance Department at least 4 times to have the transmission “fixed”. It will fail with 1000-10000 miles after it supposedly gets fixed. We have also been turned away from Ford, saying that nothing is wrong or it’s within fords criteria. This is not normal for a car! Power train
Just purchased this vehicle and it only had a little over 74,000 miles. The transmission is already slipping and from my research, this is a common, known issue by many Ford Focus owners. We took the car to the local Ford dealership and they would only repair it if we paid out of pocket even though thousands of customers have reported similar issues. We called Ford customer service and they would not help either. Power train
When attempting to shift into first gear the clutch was depressed and did not release leaving the car to coast to a stop in neutral. This occurred in a parking lot, while trailing >5 mph pulling back on the clutch did not release it and vertical was towed with it still fully depressed . Luckily this issued happened in a safe location, because this issue resulted in full loss of power being sent to the wheels. Power train · reported at 17,674 miles
