In owners' own words
Takara recall - loud clicking sounds from underneath the vehicle. Took it local transmission mechanic and was told it was the transfer case motor. Did not get a safety warning light. After checking internet notice that I was the first with this problem. Seems Dodge has a history concerning transfer case motor. The clicking sounds happened even after turn vehicle off and when starting or shifting from p to d,r or n. Electrical system · reported at 30 miles
We were driving on the interstate in northern Kentucky when the battery alert LED appeared on the dash. We exited the highway while looking up info on possible car repair shops to go to when the vehicle stalled on the exit ramp. We immediately engaged the emergency flashers but they failed eventually due to a completely dead battery. It was determined that the alternator was fried, unable to charge the battery. Recall: r09/nhtsa 14-v-115 tipm why is taking so long to offer replacement parts and repairs for an issue that clearly states failure of the fuel pump can cause stalling and crash without warning? To be clear I have not experienced any incidents yet but am very concerned for my safety, those of my passengers and other drivers on the road should the fuel pump fail resulting in car stalling and crashing.
