Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Honda Pilot. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v344000 (air bags); however, the part needed for the repair was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect. Air bags
Passenger air bag lights continuously on. Took to mechanic, mechanic said it’s most likely a bad sensor or a wiring issue that’s causing the failure. That’s all I could find out without tearing into it any further. He ran all the tests and nothing shows that the sensor is bad. But he said it doesn’t make sense that it’s showing it’s bad. He is leaning towards wiring. Wiring??? I haven’t touched that. Air bags
