In owners' own words

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that the recall notice for nhtsa campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags) was received in june of 2016. After contacting an unknown dealer, the contact was informed that the parts needed to repair the defect were not yet available. The manufacturer was not notified. The contact had not experienced a failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available. Air bags
Inside door handles are made of plastic. And therefore they break. I have had three replaced at 250.00 Per replacement. When a car cost 30,000 dollars, and it is made of plastic on the parts that are used most often, and a paint that is pealing. The clear coat is flaking off and make a care look unkept. Not sure I will ever buy another Ford product. My husband has a 150 truck 2008 and I tit is holding up fine. Air bags
Re: takata airbag. In june 2016 I received notice of the takata airbag recall. I never heard from my dealer. I called them today and was told they are on backorder with no delivery date in site. I also received notice of the filing for bankruptcy by takata. Can you please let me know what the department of transportation is doing about this. Also, is it safer to disengage the passenger side airbag. Thank you. Air bags
