Driver's door had to be repaired twice due to door falling off, hinges were welded to a thin piece of sheet metal, not strong enough to hold doors . Currently, driver's and passenger's doors need to be repaired. Dealer refused to repair free of charge even though there was a tsb out on this component since 1996. Structure
Pot hole or speed bump causes Jeep xj/ Cherokee right motor mount engine bolts to snap causing fires and flopping of engine on it's side. My xj has failed 4 times since new many on the web have had the same problems. I found 30 on one site that had identical problems some with fire. Some causing loss of control. Driving over a speed bump at about 5 mph. Passenger side engine mount bolts sheer off the block. I was able to pull out one bolt, but the two outside bolts are still stuck in the block. I will try to extract these tomorrow. All that is required to repair the problem is 3 bolts. Structure
