Reading the numbers

Across the 35 model years of the Jeep Wrangler in this data, 1992 draws comparatively few complaints; 2018 is the outlier year.

Filings have fallen off, 3 in the last three years against 4 in the three before. That is normal as a generation leaves the road.

The median odometer reading at the time of complaint was 137,000 miles.

In owners' own words

I have had a list of recalls printed to me at inspection for two years now. I have made contact with a dealership to have those recalls fixed. The dealership declined to fixed them as they said that they were not valid recalls. Would you please send me an official list of recalls for my vehicle from production date to today. Thank you. No safety defect listed. Fuel system, gasoline
Consumer complained that manufacturer's recall repair concerning fuel pump in which the fuel tank sending unit gasket can crack , causing fuel and fuel vapor to leak. Fuel and fuel vapor leaks from the fuel tank can result in a fire when exposed to a source of ignition. Dealer/manufacturer notified, and refused to repair unless cost goes to consumer. Fuel system, gasoline
Fuel tank is plastic which has collapsed inward, impacting fuel sending unit and fuel pump. This modle vehicle has a recall item # 624 for fuel tank gasket due to fuel leaks, but does not resolve tank failure. With tank failing (collapsing inward) potential exists for major failure, fuel spillage, fire, etc. Fuel system, gasoline
