In owners' own words
My vehicle failed the Picotest that GM is conducting on the engine. It is currently sitting at Romain GMC in Evansville Indiana. I am not sure if I was at risk but the dealership says it's unsafe to drive so my assumption is that my safety was at risk. The dealership states that it will take 3 months before a new engine is installed. There were no symptoms leading up to this recall inspection. Engine
Driving on highway at 80 MPH and accelerator stopped working and car turned off. We had to coast off toll rd and hope for the best. No warning and happened with our whole family in the car. I had a recall notice from manufacturer but last time I tried contacting manufacturer/dealer they said no resolution was available to repair recall yet and that I couldnât drop off my vehicle. Engine
My vehicle "passed" the engine recall only to have the engine blow at 33,000 miles. My vehicle was at the dealership for 52 days most of the time was spent waiting for the new engine. Dealership was amazing, GMC however is the worst. My new engine has about 1,000 miles on it and it stutters occasionally when the auto start turns on. Engine
