The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. While driving various speeds, the power steering completely failed and the power steering warning indicator illuminated simultaneously. The contact had to restart the vehicle in order for the power steering to return to normal. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Power steering failed while on interstate at 70mph. Very difficult to control. Had to pull over and cut of engine and restart. Did several times on the way to dealership. Dangerous and should be recalled. Quote to install new power steering rack and pinion module for $1640. There is a recall on certain 2015 trucks for this problem but mine vin was not in the group. 2015 Colorado truck lost power steering assist several times. Vehicle was very hard to steer and could have resulted in a crash, especially for someone with a weaker upper body. Stopping vehicle and restarting cleared the problem for a very short period of time, then it would happen again. General motors said it was out of warranty and would not compensate any of the $2,000.00 Put out to repair vehicle.. Steering · reported at 47,800 miles
