In owners' own words

A crack appeared in the dash on the corner of the airbag! Two months later another crack appeared over the instrument panel. Currently the entire center portion of the dash is sinking. Our fear is this will cause an airbag malfunction or if the airbag does deploy, the entire center portion of the dash will be thrown into our face. I contacted gm and they agreed to pay 60% to have a new dash put in. Air bags · reported at 72,000 miles
The check airbag light will come on randomly at any given time. It usually stays on for about two days or so and goes off for several weeks before popping back on. We usually see this happen when there are temperature changes from season to season. Even though there is a recall concerning the airbag system on certain makes and models, we were surprised when our truck was not on the list. Air bags · reported at 110,000 miles
