The contact owns a 2009 Honda Accord. While driving approximately 45 mph and applying the brakes she could hear a grinding noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that the brake pads needed to be replaced. Premature brake wear on 2009 Honda Accord v6. Brakes have squealed every time vehicle is driven (since about 5k miles). On 3/20/10 after routine service, I was told vehicle needed rear brakes (DISKS) at 19,203 k miles. I subsequently did checking on edmunds.Com and it appears this is not an isolated incident. 2009 Honda Accord. Consumer writes in regards to problems with vehicle brakes *tgw the rear rotors were resurfaced and the brake pads were replaced. The second time the consumer returned to the dealer, the problem had worsened. The brake pads and both rear calipers had to be replaced.
