When I wen't to trade my car for a new one I was told by the dealer they wern't interested in my car because of rusted floor boards. They said this was a problem with nisan altimas and there should have been a recall. Why wasn't nisan required to have a recall since this is a serious safty problem with altimas?Other nisan cars don't seem to have this problem. Now I fear for my families safty when I drive this car. Upon inspection prior to trying to privately sell my car, it was found that the floorboards were rusting out and there are actual hole on the underside of the car. Apparently, upon me googling, this is a known design issue (rather than normal wear and tear) for nissans between 2002-2006. To fix the car will cost me more than it is worth. Not only that, but holes in the floorboards are also a huge safety concern. Structure · reported at 152,000 miles
